The one thing that we have have equally is 24 hours a day. One hour for the lowliest worker is the same one hour as the richest fat cat.

Time is limited and stable, like a stable currency.

We also cannot buy back time directly. Yes, there are things which impact the length and quality of our lives, but someone rich with an 80 year life expectancy only lives twice as long as someone poor with a 40 year life expectancy. We are not in a world where there is as great an inequality of lifespan as there is an inequality of finances.

Yet...

We sell our hours for money when we work for someone.

So is our time really equal?
