Summary

A weekly session to go through all the notes and administrative tasks from the previous week in preparation for the week to come. The purpose is to free more time during the normal work week.

Content

A chance to go through all my notes from the week and undergo Progressive Summarization as part of my ‣ which form the manifest elements of my LifeOS (Life Operating System).

There is a model for this: ‣ in my ‣ library - although the system I use is a little more complicated and directed towards Progressive Summarization rather than just family management.

Family management is still an important part of my LifeOS (Life Operating System), as it lets me put off important administration issues until I have assigned a specific time for them every week. By doing this, I hope to better keep on top of familiy management issues.

Nevertheless, a significant component of my weekly review is the progressive summarisation of my notes collected within ‣ through highlighting in Pocket as part of How to consume media better (curating our own consumption).

Expectations and acknowledging limitations

I do not expect to ever reach the end of my summarisation - a point where I have 'learned' all there is to learn from my notes. Also, I will always have unvisited notes and seeds in my . That is to be expected and the weekly review does not operate with a #Inbox Zero policy.

Model and template

As I like to have Templates to structure thinking, I have a template I use to organisae my weekly review in my ‣. This involves mainly bullet points, along with a written review of highlights and learning points. In this way, the weekly review operates as both organisation time and journaling.
